VOLANTEX SPITFIRE MKII 4CH 500MM BRUSHLESS WITH GYRO RTF
Volantex proudly unveils the latest addition to their 500mm wingspan, brushless warbird park flyer range. The Spitfire Mk2, a modern recreation of one of Britain’s most legendary fighters, crafted to honour the legacy of the great Douglas Bader and his iconic Spitfire. Designed for today’s RC pilots, this model perfectly blends historic inspiration with cutting-edge flight technology.
Honouring History.
Few aircraft capture the spirit of determination and innovation quite like the Supermarine Spitfire. During the Second World War, it became a symbol of courage in the skies – flown by remarkable pilots such as Group Captain Douglas
Bader, who inspired generations with his resilience and skill. The VolantexRC Spitfire 500mm Brushless pays tribute to that legacy, bringing history to life through scale accuracy and advanced RC engineering.
Modern Technology Meets Classic Design.
Combining authentic detailing with exceptional performance, the Spitfire 500mm Brushless features a robust brushless power system, high-efficiency propeller and durable FLEEX foam construction for both strength and realism. With its realistic clear canopy, scale cockpit and distinctive wartime livery, it stands out as both a collector’s piece and a capable park flier.
Flight Control and Stability.
Equipped with the XPILOT stabilisation system, pilots can choose between Full Assist, Soft Assist and Manual modes for a tailored flying experience. From smooth take-offs to agile aerobatics, the system ensures precise, confidence-inspiring control for pilots of all skill levels.
The Spitfire Mk2 500mm brushless delivers an unmatched blend of history, innovation, and flying performance, a true tribute to one of the greatest aircraft ever built.

Safe flying is YOUR responsibility.
Update 01/01/26: The laws have changed regarding operating drones and model aircraft in the UK.
What you need to do:
You must take a theory test and register with the CAA before flying most drones or model aircraft outdoors in the UK.
There are two requirements and you may need to meet both:
- Pass a theory test to get a Flyer ID.
This makes sure you know how to fly safely and legally.
- Register with the CAA for an Operator ID.
This registers you as someone who is responsible for a drone or model aircraft.
Most people get their Flyer ID and Operator ID at the same time.
It is against the law to fly a drone or model aircraft without having the required IDs.
You can also be fined for breaking the law when flying. In the most serious cases, you could be sent to prison.
The requirements are based on the weight or class of your drone or model aircraft.
Registration requirements for drones and model aircraft:
| Weight of drone or model aircraft | Class | Flyer ID | Operator ID |
| 250g to less than 25kg | UK1, UK2, UK3, UK4 | Required | Required |
| 100g to less than 250g; with a camera | UK0 with a camera | Required | Required |
| 100g to less than 250g; without a camera | UK0 without a camera | Required | Optional |
| Less than 100g | Not applicable | Recommended | Optional |
